HTC One Mini unveiled with UltraPixel camera

| |
Taiwanese company HTC today unveiled the smaller version of its flagship smartphone One. The new smartphone shares several features with its older sibling, including Blinkfeed, Zoe and Ultrapixel camera. The manufacturer said this smartphone will launch in select markets in August, followed by a global rollout in September.

HTC One Mini has a 4.3-inch screen with 1280x720p resolution and 341ppi pixel density. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), topped with Sense 5.0 user interface, and packs a 1.4GHz dual-core processor under the hood. It has 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and no microSD card support.

The new One Mini features a 4MPUltraPixel camera and LED flash on the back, while a 1.6MP shooter is present in the front. The handset has connectivity features like 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. This phone has a 1,800mAh battery and comes with BoomSound speakers and Beats Audio technology for sound enhancement.

In terms of looks, the HTC One Mini looks exactly like the current flagship, though the dimensions are smaller due to the decrease in screen size.

This phone will compete against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, Sony XperiaSP and Google Nexus 4 in the Indian market.
